Anyway, if you want to add me you can get to know something about me from the public entries, even if it's from quizzes ;-P... The banner is shit, I know, I just wanted to do something quick for the mo. Now to my info... Hello! You've just stumbled into my humble abode in the internet. One of the reasons for that may be a long thread in someone else's LJ, lately I've been following long threads, I don't know why really... I try to update everyday. Especially after watching the documentary in the "The Hours" DVD. Nigel Nicolson, Vita Sackville-West's son, said that Virginia Woolf had told him: Nothing has really happened until it has been described. Therefore write a lot of letters to your family and friends. Keep a diary. Don't let a day pass without recording it, whether anything interesting has happened or not. Something interesting happens every day. I try to write every day which causes many of my entries to be full of every day boring stuff, but I still want to remember. I hope to have this blog for long... Bio explaining about languages and stuff: I've realised that some people just randomly start reading people's journals and don't understand certain things without some sort of explanation. I was born in Caracas 19 years ago, my father is English and my mother Venezuelan. My parents insisted that both my younger sister and I should be bilingual, so they always spoke in English, bought us books in English, read-along books with tapes in English, took us to British Council parties/reunions to meet English children (my dad worked there), read us stories in bed in English and all the rest... It's a hard job I can tell you. I've babysitted children with parents of different nationalities and languages and they usually only want to speak the language of the country they live in. Now that I'm used to speak to my father in English I find it unnatural to speak in Spanish or any other language to him, I only do when I want to ask about some word or something like that. Now you know that, I write my LJ in English coz I was introduced to it by other bilingual people (Spanish/English) who wrote in English and I just followed, I'm not bothered about writing in one language or the other but now I'm used to writing this in English. I've been living in Barcelona for over 13 years now. I moved here on the 21st of October 1991. I am now studying English and French Philology in the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona. But this year I'm an Erasmus student in Ghent. However, I keep my location as Barcelona because while I had it as Ghent this was in Dutch. I've just changed my interests rubbing off plenty of things I like but don't like that much or that are too particular. I didn't like it being so long. This is a small collage I have in my room. I'm hoping to increase it with the postcards and postalfree I've got hidden around the room. I also want to take off the world map you can see a bit off on the right. You can see quite a bit of random things I like with those postcards. ![]() And this is a doll that is supposed to look like me. My hair isn't reddish though. ![]() I'd like all the people in my friends list who are missing to add themselves to the map, please. HEY! I'M ASKING NICELY SO NOW GO AHEAD AND DO IT!!! Look! I got a WeatherPixie! I picked the Dollz Brunette, because the one of the normal weathergirls I thought was more like me didn't have many clothes and this one has loads. And as I'm now in Ghent, also a Belgian one. There wasn't one for my city, so I didn't precise location. This hug counter has a raison d'être and that is that when I'm down I plan to check this profile to see how many hugs I've got. I'd really appreciate it whoever you are, but I'd especially appreciate it if you know me, if you came here and left me hugs. I really need them sometimes you know... So go on! HUG ME!!! : D : D : D Wooooooooooooo!!!!! WEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Over 2000!!! Now that's surprising... I wonder who are the darlings who keep sending me so many hugs... But better if I don't know...? Oh! whatever... *HUGS* TOTAL! give anaibb more *HUGS* Get hugs of your own | |||||
